About Keke

Hi!

My name is Keke. The human form I have currently taken on this karmic wheel iteration is as follows: I am a proud dilettante, a color junkie, a lover of yoga, a maker, a voracious seeker and sometimes finder, a very regal clown, and, before any of that, a human.

So what is this website exactly? Is it for art, for yoga, a call to community for healing people and recovery? The short answer for all of that is a big yes. Because I can’t narrow it down, I won’t.

Being a human is a crazy trip. Life is a psychedelic experience all on its own. None of us is one-dimensional. We all stumble upon or find our own array of portals to the divine, and this is a space dedicated to the ones that work for me.

We all experience the divine in different ways, many of us see the divine in similar ways, but none of it means anything if we first can’t see things as they are.

It all comes back to light for me: how it refracts into our eyeballs, how it reveals the things that are. A dance; at once a celebration and a confrontation. Turning on the lights in a room is a big help in cleaning out clutter. Sunlight is a natural bleaching agent, a disinfectant sent by the divine. And as we know, color is really just light refracting. What is more joyous than color? What is a better signifier of a power greater than myself?

Artists are healers, healers are artists. We are all just trying our best to point to what it is that we see when we experience transcendence. I’ve learned the hard way that the best way to do this is to get myself out of the way.

The best goal for what I create in this world is that it be honest. Honesty heals. It was a long road for me to learn this, but I’m grateful to have learned it.

I once heard it said that the minute I Know What I’m Doing, I’m in trouble.

So, guess what? I have no idea what I’m doing. At all!

Sending out rays of gratitude to anyone taking their beautiful and precious time to peruse my page and my work. If it works for you and you feel seen, that’s all that I could ever want; it’s what makes my insides glow. Lots of love to you exactly as you are right now in this moment. The light in me bows in reverence to the light within you; in other words, a big, fat NAMASTE.
